1. John Feland, Argus Insights.
John is the award-winning founder and CEO of Argus Insights. Argus Insights is a new type of market intelligence company founded by tech industry veterans. The company produces a consumer innovation analytics platform designed to improve the product innovation cycle. Argus Insights helps clients understand what delights consumers to drive the creation of better products and relationships, and where clients are situated against competition. Having received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, John is an expert in consumer response to technology, and a regular speaker at the IoT Evolution Expo.
2. Vince Ricco, Axis Communications
Vince Ricco serves as a business development manager for the Axis Technology Partner Program for North America. Ricco works with IT hardware providers to showcase the company’s network cameras and video surveillance solutions. Before joining Axis, Ricco had nearly two decades at Allied Telesis, a leading manufacturer of network hardware and software solutions. He held a variety of positions throughout his time at Allied, from district sales manager to vice president of sales. Most recently, Ricco was a senior network consultant working with end-users and providing assistance to clients in the physical security, transportation and healthcare markets.
3. John Oberon, Cisco Systems
John Oberon is the Vice President of IoT Software Platforms at Cisco. John manages the development of platforms that give solution providers access to Cisco’s IoT infrastructure capabilities. John has over twenty years of experience in the software industry, from product design to development and business operations. With expertise in mechanical engineering and and extensive experience building large software platform developer communities, John is sure to provide great insight into the IoT developer community.
4. Mark Benson, Exosite
Mark is the CTO of Exosite, setting the technical strategy and vision for the company so that it remains a leader in the IoT marketplace. Exosite is an IoT software company that develops a platform which companies use to view and analyze data collected from sensors built into physical objects. Exosite was recently named one of CIO Review’s “Big Data 100,” and is among the top 5% of all companies at the forefront of tackling Big Data challenges. As CTO of Exosite, Mark has been a major figure in the IoT world, writing for and speaking at many industry events. In addition to being the author of four U.S. Patents, Mark also holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelors in Computer Science from Bethel University.
5. Vijay Dheap, IBM
Vijay Dheap heads up Security Intelligence Initiatives for IBM. With his in-depth knowledge of advanced analytics and Cloud technologies, Vijay delivers IBMs security intelligence solutions to large corporate customers. Vijay also had experience as a resident strategist who led the formulation of IBMs mobile security strategy and developed the technology that made it all possible. Vijay started off his career as a developer, then transitioned into business analyst role on the IBM Emerging Technologies team, where he helped commercialize technologies in the areas of Web 2.0, cognitive computing, Cloud and Mobile. Vijay received an International MBA from Duke Fuqua School of Business and a Masters in Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo, Canada.
